New Xbox One Software Released, Now Plays 360 Discs
The update for the New Xbox One Experience is available starting today. The new update brings a host of features, bringing the game closer to Windows 10. The star of the show though was a feature that's been wanted for a long time: the ability to play Xbox 360 games on Xbox One.
The Backward Compatibility makes it possible to play over a hundred Xbox 360 games on Xbox One starting today, with hundreds more promised. Playing 360 games on the Xbox One includes the added benefits of Xbox One features such as screenshots, in-home streaming, and Game DVR. You can also play multiplayer with friends playing Backward Compatible titles on Xbox 360.
Other features include a newly redesigned home screen giving faster access to the games and apps that you’ve recently used as well as quick access to social activities in the new activity feed. There's also button remapping, a new OneGuide and a screen narrator included amongst other functions.
