Nintendo Casually Reveals the Nintendo Switch 2, Releases 2025
The Nintendo Switch 2 is real! After several leaks over the past few weeks, the Nintendo YouTube channel has suddenly dropped the reveal trailer for the sequel to the Switch. Like what!? That’s not something you casually drop on a random week.
Don’t worry about the lack of games available for the new console. Games from the Switch, physical and digital, are backwards compatible. Now, not all games will be fully supported, with more details on the way, but you can potentially transfer a good majority of your library to the new console, which is a serious selling point. It makes the transition to the new console a lot smoother, so when the exclusive games come out, you already have an established system. One of these games is confirmed to be a new Mario Kart… or god forbid an expansion to Mario Kart 8 again.
