NIS America Hit By Major Data Breach

If you are a shopping of NIS America you may want to keep an eye on your bank account as the side suffered a major data breach last week. 

Customers were made aware of the data breach via email with NIS America also taking to Twitter to confirm the bad news. It is said that the breach took place on the online store between January 23rd and February 26th. Personal information of customers who placed orders during this time may have been taken. This includes names, addresses, credit card numbers, expiration dates and email addresses. PayPal users were not affected. 

NIS America took their store front offline as soon as the issue was noticed and took steps to resolve it. As a way of apologising it has given all users who were affected a $5 discount code for their next purchase. There has not been any news if any of the data taken has been used but it is worth keeping an eye on accounts and information if you are one of the accounts that was affected during the time frame. 

This only impacted the North American store so shoppers elsewhere should be fine.
