No Man’s Sky Delayed
Update - A new release date has been set.
No Man's Sky, the vast space exploration game from Hello Games, has been delayed, according to gaming website Kotaku. The respected publication stated in an article that they have heard the news from two sources, and that the exact release date is not yet confirmed. Hello Games have not responded to requests for information from media outlets, including GameGrin, to confirm or deny the suggestion of the rumour.
Credence has been added to the rumour by way of the retailer GameStop. Kotaku, and a number of users on the game’s subreddit have leaked an internal memo in the store advising store managers to cover up the date with a “coming soon” sticker. They have been told to still display the posters though, which suggests that the delay won’t be for an inordinate amount of time.
The game has been in development for a number of years now, with the small team behind it giving regular updates as they progress. The title is one of the more ambitious games in development, with the aim being to create the largest universe ever created in a video game. Previously the developers have stated that the universe is so big, it would not be possible for one person to explore it in their lifetime. With so much to explore, it’s no wonder that fans are eager to start their journey, but it’s looking like they will have to wait just a little bit longer to do that.
