Onward out for Digital Download - Moving Pictures

Theatres are closing doors due to COVID-19, but movies are making the jump straight to digital download and streaming. Onward will join other titles like Birds of Prey, Bloodshot, and Emma which have also made the recent jump from theatrical release to digital in a shortened window.

Onward takes place in a magical world. Technology has been replaced by magic in this world and creatures like elves and centaurs coexist together. The story is about two brothers, Barley and Ian (voiced by Chris Pratt and Tom Holland), set off on a quest to find their father after one summons their father from the dead partially by summoning their father's legs. Seeking a magical item to fully summon their father, the two go on an adventure in hopes to spend one last day with him.

Other movies are expected to take this jump from theatres to digital downloads and streaming as they release. Trolls World Tour, which releases 10th April 2020 in theatres will also be available on digital that day. Frozen 2 released months early for streaming, and other movies like Disney's Mulan, have been delayed going forward.
