Overwatch Beta To Hit Europe Sooner Than Expected

Last week Blizzard announced that the beta for their upcoming competitive FPS, Overwatch, will begin at the end of October. Originally this date was just for the Americas, as the servers for the European and Asian regions were not ready.

Now Blizzard have announced that the preparation and setup for the European servers were completed ahead of time, so it will be launching on the same day that the Americas will get it. Usually date changes are always going the other way, so it's fantastic to see a release date actually moving forwards.

It will be a closed beta, and you can sign up for a chance to participate at Battle.net. The first batch of testers will be invited within the next couple of days, and the beta will officially start on 27th October. Dates for Asia have not been announced as yet.
