Overwatch Release Date Confirmed

Blizzard has confirmed that it's upcoming team-based, multiplayer shooter, Overwatch, will release on 24th May on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

The official announcement confirms reports from earlier this week after an add banner on IGN leaked the release date for the shooter. It also seems to fit in with our findings late last year that Overwatch would release in the Spring, "on or before 21st June".

Prior to launch there will also be an Open Beta on all platforms taking place between 5th-9th May with those who preorder available to jump in from the 3rd; the same day as hero shooter rival Battleborn launches. 

Overwatch was announced back in 2014 and will be Blizzard's first new IP in a number of years.
