Overwatch’s Next Hero to be Otherkin

After causing a stir by revealing that one of their characters was a lesbian, Blizzard are looking for more ways to get the communities of Tumblr and Deviantart into Overwatch. Tracer enjoyed a surge in popularity amongst this key demographic after the Christmas comics revealed her to be homosexual, so now they’re adding an even more diverse character to the mix.

Wolfie, named after darts legend Martin Adams, is a nongendered otherkin, who identifies as a wolf. He’s a support character, capable of healing and damage dealing, with a super speed boost available to him to help the rest of his pack.

We don’t have full details of the character yet, but we have been told that he’ll be coming in the next major patch. Expect to see a backstory animation for him later on this month, and more details as we have them, right here on GameGrin.
