PlayStation 4 Tops Hardware Sales for July

NPD Sales for the period of July 2015 have been published, revealing that the PlayStation 4 was the highest selling console of the month.

Lego: Jurassic World was the highest selling software of the month, with Batman: Arkham Knight and Minecraft in second and third place respectively.

5.) Rory McIlroy PGA Tour (PS4, Xbox One)
6.) The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited (Xbox One, PS4, PC)
7.) Destiny (Xbox One, PS4, 360, PS3)
8.) Mortal Kombat X (PS4, Xbox One)
9.) FIFA 15 (PS4, 360, Xbox One, PS3, Wii, Vita, 3DS)
10.) Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3, PC)

Microsoft, despite failing to best the PS4, also saw positive results, with the Xbox One posting an increase in sales of 44% year over year.

The news marks a positive trend for the popularity of the medium. The combined sales of the PS4 and Xbox One are nearly 50% higher than that of their predecessors over the same time period.
