PlayStation Plus Prices set to Rise
PlayStation Plus, Sony's answer to Xbox Live Gold, is set to rise in price from the end of August in Europe. We've already seen a price rise in the Americas, and now it's the turn of those of us across the Atlantic to pay more for the service.
The annual price is increasing by around 25% to £49.99, those paying months will be about 20% more as the price increases to £6.99. Those paying quarterly are set to get the worst deal, with a increase of over 33% bringing the price to £19.99 per quarter.
Sony have sent emails to affected users, reminding them how to cancel auto-renewal of the service. The change will take effect from the first of August onwards, meaning those looking to stave off the price rise can renew or purchase plus now, or stock up on cards to keep the rise at bay for just a little while longer.

"Click here to check your renewal date"
Both links take you to the same place, and it is impossible to see a renewal date, and not very obvious how to cancel auto-renewal. No more PS+ for me at that price and the current quality.

I bought a year in the last sale, so It'll be the end of 2018 before I get a rise, but it's certainly a bit steep and I'd be considering if it's worth it had I not done that.
