POGs May be Back in the Form of a New Mobile Game

The Official POGs Mobile Game has been announced. A London-based Indie Studio called Compton Technology has purchased the rights to the 90's kids' toy comprised of collectible cardboard circles and is now working on a game that will bring POGs  back to the limelight using modern cell phone technology and an augmented reality aspect.

The game is reported to center around players trading, collecting, and battling for each other's POGs, all the while upgrading their arsenals of Slammers and getting better at the art of competitive POG-fighting.

The game's playable version is set to release sometime in September of this year, but the Indiegogo Campaign will end by 5th July.
