Pokkén Tournament Wii U Announcement Trailer
Nintendo announced that one of their largest franchises is finally making a full Wii U debut with a home conversion of the previously arcade-only Japanese exclusive Pokkén Tournament. The game is set to bring Pokémon to life in a way never seen before where Pokémon move in direct response to the player’s actions while battling.
Fans who purchase a first-run version of the game at retail will receive a limited-edition Shadow Mewtwo amiibo card that immediately unlocks the character in the game after tapping it to the Wii U GamePad. The character will be available to all players as an unlockable in game however so if you can't get your hands on the Amiibo then all is not lost. Pokkén Tournament launches for Wii U in spring 2016 and we'll keep you updated first here on GameGrin.
