Psyonix and WWE Announce Marketing Partnership

Psyonix, creators of hit vehicular sports game Rocket League, and wrestling body WWE have announced a partnership that will provide the videogame with high visibility across WWE's various platforms.

The game, which currently boasts a community of around 30 million players, will be the presenting partner of two upcoming WWE events including this Sunday’s Backlash and Great Balls of Fire on 9th July across television, digital and social media, and on the WWE Network.

Rocket League will also be a promotional partner of WWE’s SummerSlam, the summer's biggest wrestling event on 20th August.

“The integrated partnership with Psyonix will provide Rocket League with an opportunity to utilize WWE’s global platforms and reach our passionate fan base, many of whom are avid gamers,” said John Brody, WWE Executive Vice President, Global Sales & Partnerships.

The partnership will also spread onto WWE's gaming network UpUpDownDown and will dedicate six episodes to Rocket League.]

“WWE has proven time and again that they know how to execute fantastic integrated programming, and with an audience that has similar interests to our own, it was only natural that we team up to see what we could do together.” said Psyonix Vice-President, Jeremy Dunham.

Rocket League released in 2015 to a swathe of positive reviews and continues to receive regular updates.
