Cross platform play has been a note of controversy this generation, with many finding the split between systems to be unnecessary when playing online with friends. Another barrier has now been broken however, with the latest 4.3 update for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds now allowing Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players to play together.
Update 4.3 has also added more to the progression system of the game, with Survival Mastery rewarding players for their specific survival skills in a match along with their performance. This also leads to extra customisation options with the PUBG ID, which can be used as bragging rights to showcase your achievements in the game.
A new weapon called the DBS Shotgun has also been added, a double-barreled shotgun useful for close encounters. Lastly, the update comes with the usual bug fixes. Update 4.3 is available now.
