Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City Trailer Released

The trailer for Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City dropped on Sony Picture Entertainment's YouTube channel on the 7th of October, showing us the setting for the movie. As we'd expect, it will take place in Raccoon City, on the 30th of September, 1998.

We got a good look at some of the actors that will be taking the main roles of the movie. Kaya Scodelario leading the charge as Claire Redfield alongside Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield and Avan Jogia as Leon S. Kennedy. Not much more screen time was given to the other characters in favour of giving us a good look at the gruesome zombies and some of the CGI that will be used.

Some other recognizable faces were shown, but not given many lines in the trailer, such as Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine, Neal McDonough as William Birkins, and Tom Hopper as Albert Wesker.

The story seems like it will begin with Claire returning to Raccoon City with fears that Umbrella is evil, and her brother, Chris, not being so convinced. Which is essentially what leads to the chain of events for the games that we have come to love so much.

The movie was written and directed by Johannes Roberts, known for his work in 47 Meters Down and Storage 24.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City will drop exclusively in theatres on the 24th of November of this year.
