RiME Developers Remove Denuvo
The developers behind RiME, Tequila Works and their publishers, Grey Box have officially removed Denuvo DRM in the latest patch of RiME. This decision comes just days after the game itself was cracked and the game’s Denuvo had been bypassed. The team themselves have tested this and have confirmed that continuing to have Denuvo anti-tamper software on RiME is pointless.
In a recent Steam community news post, the team have confirmed that they will be releasing a new build that doesn’t contain Denuvo and they are asking that you ensure that your copy is updated. The last part is important due to the recent slew of reports that previously, with Denuvo included, RiME suffered from slow performance and long loading times.

For now, Tequila Works have decided not to continue with including Denuvo in RiME even in future updates, their focus now is to improve the quality of the game itself with future updates and patches.
As for Denuvo, it’s just another blow to their anti-tamper software. It’s not the first in recent releases and absolutely won’t be the last. Resident Evil 7 earlier this year was cracked in less than five days after launch, but that’s not to say the software doesn’t work with titles like Mass Effect: Andromeda still not cracked.

That's a shame. For just a while, Denuvo seemed like the perfect software that didn't affect performance but protected the investments of hard working programmers. Sadly it's fallen down on both fronts recently :(
