Shadows of Doubt’s Off-Duty Update Is Available Now; Check Out the Trailer Here!

Shadows of Doubt is a voxel-styled sandbox detective stealth game that keeps the never-ending crime and corruption of the simulated sci-fi noir city fresh through procedural generation. Set in a hyper-industrialised 1980s, players are tasked with solving different cases, even if it means hacking into security systems. Since its release in September 2024, Shadows of Doubt has received 12,631 reviews (at the time of writing) and an 84% Very Positive score.

In a previous news piece, we covered the 2025 roadmap (which you can check out here), and the Off-Duty update is now here! Aside from a slew of fixes, quality-of-life improvements, and polish, there are some new features.

So, here's what's available in Shadows of Doubt's Off-Duty update!

• New feature: the ability to smoke cigarettes and cigars (only available on Steam due to age restrictions).
• New mini-game: Wizcards, a fantasy-themed grid-based card game found in cruncher.
• New side mission; check the newspaper to find it!
• Players can now set their own cruncher passcode through the Gameplay Options menu.
• The playable character appears on CCTV Surveillance now.
