SMITE World Championships will have over $600,000 Prizes

SMITE is something we love here at GameGrin. That's why we're always giving away gods. But even we wouldn't give away the kind of cash Hi-Rez is going to!

Set your calendar for the first big gaming event of 2015, as starting 9th January and running until 11th January. It will beheld  at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta and eight teams from North America, Europe, China, and Latin America will compete. Hi-Rez say the starting prize pool will be $600 thousand, but will increase before the big day due to contributors and special content sales.

The European Championship will be held 15th & 16th November 2014, at the ESL Studio in Cologne, Germany. Six European teams will duke it out, with the two winners going on to Atlanta in January.

The North American championships will be a week later on 22nd & 23rd November 2014, at the Kessel D. Stelling Ballroom in Atlanta, America. Six American teams will compete with the two winners going on to try and win the grand prize.

Whoever eventually wins, it will be a load of great SMITE fun for everyone.
