Sniping Confirmed for Titanfall
Sniping in Titanfall by Respawn Entertainment will not be plagued by quickscoping and no-scoping, Respawn developer known only as "scriptacus" wrote on the company's forums.
Quickscoping is the practice of firing a sniper rifle when the reticule lines up with the target instead of taking aim down the rifle's scope whereas no-scoping refers to firing a sniper rifle without using its scope at all.
Sniping is in the game, but due to how the game plays it's a pretty different animal than you'll find in your run of the mill modern military shooter. Quick scoping and no-scoping are ineffective,
No doubt, there will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth at this news from certain parts of the gaming community, especially on YouTube. However, it will be nice to see sniper rifles being used as they are intended rather than for close up scopeless headshots.
