Sony Annouces Their Scorpio Killer

After the huge success of the Scorpio edition of the Xbox One, Sony has clearly decided that they need something to keep them ahead of the game. To that end, they've announced their next project: the PlayStation Virgo, which is due to hit retail shelves this Christmas.

Named after snooker legend John Virgo and his famous waistcoats, the new machine will come in a number of fashion-inspired designs. These will include paisley (pictured above), three different kinds of tartan, and a Cath Kidston designed day one edition featuring guinea pigs wearing party hats.

Not much has been announced yet on the spec front, but it's expected to be the most powerful system yet, with 4K graphics at 60fps as standard, and an upgraded VR experience. We're expecting to hear more details at gamescom this Autumn.
