Sony Files Trademark Application for The Last Guardian
A neogaf post has revealed that a third trademark for Sony's long awaited game The Last Guardian has been submitted.
This news follows reports last month that the trademark had been abandoned by Sony, although the post, by user Rösti, states that it was due to an administrative error with it being revived once again.
This means that Sony now has several active trademarks of The Last Guardian, although this is not unusual for companies to do. The post states that 'this is most likely just a protective measure/continuation, though goods and services differ ever so slightly' between the two most recent trademarks. What ever it means, it seems Sony still have hope of some day releasing Team Ico's next game.
The Last Guardian is one of Sony's biggest mysteries, having been announced back in 2007, very little has been shown, with rumours suggesting that it had been cancelled and started over on numerous occasions.
