SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle For Bikini Bottom is Receiving a Remake

THQ Nordic previously teased they had three game announcements to make this week, with the first of which being a remake for the 3D platformer SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle For Bikini Bottom.

Battle For Bikini Bottom was originally released in 2003 making this a surprising and unusual remake. The title also received mixed reviews upon its release, however it’s become a favourite amongst fans of the talking sponge over the years, with many looking back on it fondly.

The reveal trailer for the announcement doesn’t show any gameplay, but it reveals the full title Spongebob SquarePants: Battle For Bikini Bottom Rehydrated with a 2020 release schedule for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
