Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge - A VR Adaptation of the Disney Park
More Star Wars news comes flying in from ILMxLAB, developer of various "virtual and mixed reality experiences" such as the earlier Vader Immortal (shown above). The studio, in collaboration with Oculus Studios, has announced Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge. Based on the "Galaxy's Edge" theme parks in both California and Florida's Disneyland, the story-based, action-adventure VR game will explore the in-universe lore of the Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu, providing players with "consequential choices" as they meet new characters and reunite with a few familiar faces.

There's little in the way of details for Tales from the Galaxy's Edge—certainly no footage yet—but ILMxLAB is promising "multiple styles of gameplay" that will let players explore new regions of Batuu. That, in addition with the action-adventure label, suggests that this is more than a virtual tour of the Disney park; it's a full game that looks to make the most of VR.
Keep an eye out for Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge as its development continues.
