Starlight Re:Volver’s Price Will be Permanently Lowered & Players Are Getting a Care Package as Thank-You

Starlight Re:Volver is a 1-4 player co-op action roguelite set in a colourful anime-inspired world. Action-packed gameplay isn’t the only thing awaiting the community, either, as gamers can get together and enjoy various mini-games, fishing, and crafting as a team.

The game is Early Access, and it currently offers the following:

• Four playable characters, with over 12 abilities for each.
• 156 charms.
• 33 trinkets that add progression across dives.
• More than 40 accessories to customise the chosen character.
• Two biomes, each with bosses and mini-bosses.
• Three difficulties for each biome.
• 82 fish to collect.
• Dynamic time of day and weathers.
• Five NPCs to chat with or barter with.
• Five areas to explore with friends (to relax).
• An arcade mini-game.

Recently, the team communicated about their thoughts on changing the pricing of the title (which was $19.99) to $12.99 to accommodate the feedback they’ve received about it. Pahdo Labs want the game to be more accessible and fair in price, and this change isn’t just immediate (and available in regionally pricing, too; as someone from Colombia, I appreciate this) — it’s retroactive, too, if players ask for a refund.

That being said, due to Steam not offering partial refunds, the developers will be doing it manually. Looking to get the difference in price back? Just head over to their form to do so. The team is also offering a spare Steam key for those who don’t want a refund or are nervous about providing their payment information. This will only be available over the next two to four weeks.

Last but not least, Pahdo Labs wants to give every player who logs in before the 23rd of September a gift to show appreciation for the early support. These will only be available until then!

Everyone who logs into the game before the 23rd of September will receive the following:

• Full NIM dekos for each character — Emo Re:color Pack
• Full So Mi dekos for each character — Falling 4 You Re:color Pack
• A special sticker pack — Party Pack
• An early supporter accessory — Lil’ Sprout

The CEO of Pahdo Labs had the following to say about the situation,

First, thank you all for making Starlight Re:Volver possible. As I’m sure you all know, our matchmaking times are currently not so great. To grow our player base and improve matchmaking times, we have decided to increase the accessibility of our game with a new price of $12.99. When we realized this is what we needed to do to support the health of our player base, we immediately thought about how we can make it right with our earliest supporters who paid $19.99. Despite Steam’s refund limitations, we’ve found a workaround by manually processing partial refunds over the next 2-4 weeks. For those not interested in a refund or don’t want to provide us with their payment info, we’re offering a Steam key to gift to a friend as a thank you. We will also be sending all players an in-game care package of cosmetics so we can all be a little more stylish in both NIM and So Mi.
