Steam Machine 3DMark Tests

The friendly people over at Futuremark have estimated some of the Steam Machines against their 3DMark benchmarking software and have come out with interesting results.

They are judging their scores against similar hardware running on a Windows machine, but they've warned that performance might differ on SteamOS due to the Linux architecture.

The machines that have been tested are: Origin PC's Chronos, Digital Storm's Bolt II, Webhallen's box, Alternate's box, Materiel.net's box, Scan's 3XS Steam NC10 and GIGABYTE's Brix Pro. Here are the results of the tested machines, sorted by price, with the 3DMark scores on the left and their total calculated value on the 3DMark results against price.

So, as it stands, Webhalien's box is the best value for money, according to Futuremark. The full list can be found here.
