Steam to Rehaul the Official Storefront with New Beta

Valve has been making some major changes throughout the year to Steam, as new additions, improvements, and more have been making their way to the platform. From a rehaul to the overall Family Sharing system that's more beneficial to single-household homes to accessibility features, demos, and more, there's plenty that Valve has been working on to keep the store fresh.

Now, the team is looking forward to reflecting that more closely with the newest Beta, where players will be able to enjoy a whole new menu and a facelift to the overall storefront. With improved visuals and better exploration mechanics, the new Beta lets players try out the feature and leave some feedback for Valve to improve on what's already there.

What's new?

• The left column and the blue bar have been fused to create one single menu at the top, featuring everything you need to find for the storefront.
• A superior search panel that'll give you even better information: popular searches, recently viewed, top genres, and Advanced Search.
• Easier accessibility to some of the top destinations: Top Sellers, Discount & Events, New Releases, Free to Play, Wishlist, and Demos.
• Rehauled recommendations to connect them all in one neat package to find them easily, all beside the Discovery Queue, other queues, and more.
• Personalised section featuring categories and tags based on your history.
• And more
