Steam Winter Sale Dates Leaked
Winter is coming. That of course can only mean one thing. Yes, the steely gaze of Gaben is fixed firmly on the bank balances and Paypal accounts of all Steam subscribers. You can try to avoid it or you can try to hide away (like Emsey did a couple of years ago) but eventually, somehow, the great lord Gaben will find you.
This year might not be quite as bad given rumours that the lightning deals which were abandoned for the autumn sale won't be returning any time soon, but the deep discounts will still be there, crying out for money to be spent. It's a sad time indeed to be a wallet. We always knew this would come, but we weren't certain exactly when. That is, until now.
Paypal have been running adverts with the date included just a little earlier than planned. Although the ad has now been pulled, it was up long enough for industrious internet users to take a screenshot, revealing the 22nd December start for this years winter sale.

18th December last year, 19th in 2013. Weird, but perhaps they're averse to beginning it at the ends of the week.
