STRAFE Releases its Final "Substantial" Update

STRAFE Releases its Final "Substantial" Update

Entering this world as a Kickstarter campaign over five years ago and fully releasing in 2017, Pixel Titans' hectic, roguelike first-person shooter, STRAFE, is finally reaching the end of its life with one last major content update, dubbed Gold Edition. Check out the full change log here. It includes dozens of fixes, tweaks and quality of life improvements, in addition to a few new enemies and gameplay elements.

Alongside the change log, Thom and Stephen of Pixel Titans released a message of thanks for STRAFE's players, stating that the team has had "an amazing and challenging time developing STRAFE® but we finally feel the need to shift our focus to new things!" After five years, it's hard to argue with the team's desire to branch out into fresh pastures, and while there may still be minor updates in the game's future, none will be as significant as this or any that came before it.

Combining permadeath, roguelike elements with the hectic first-person action of classics like Doom and Quake, STRAFE is a randomly generated gauntlet of bloodthirsty enemies, brutal weapons and absolute carnage.

The final major content update for STRAFE: Gold Edition is out now.
