Strictly Games Get Hardcore with Unreleased Psygnosis Game

We all have projects that we never quite manage to complete. For some people it's getting the shed organised or converting the attic, for others it might be a knitting project that didn't get off the ground or a language that you never got round to learning more than "two beers please" in. If you were working for DICE in the '90s, then it might well be a game that you never finished. It's OK though, because Strictly Limited Games have managed to locate a copy of a never completed title, and with the help of Matt Phillips from Big Evil Corporation, a team comprised of a number of the project's original creators are finishing it, just 25 years after starting.

The work in progress was halted by published Psygnosis close to the end of development in 1994 and it had been presumed lost to the mists of time, however this turns out not to be so. Scheduled for release in 2019, the game is currently going by the working title Project Hardcore, but that is likely to change for release. Whilst originally created as a Mega Drive title, the Metroidvania style run-and-gun game is to be launched on the PS4 and PS Vita in early 2019.
