Sword Coast Legends Getting Free DLC

Sword Coast Legends Getting Free DLC

Reviews for n-Space's Dungeons and Dragons based RPG, Sword Coast Legends,  have been somewhat mixed so far. Despite the huge amount of customisation, detailed graphics and unique dungeon master mode which mirrors the paper-and-pen games on which it is based, there's been a number of people who just haven't been happy.

In a statement released on the game's official website, n-Space's president Dan Tudge admitted that the game had fallen short of expectations and outlined the company's plans to resolve issues:

[...]early user impressions for Sword Coast Legends have been polarizing. While many players love it, it is clear that for many, Sword Coast Legends did not meet their expectations. For those who have expressed disappointment in the game, I have just one thing to say: "We hear you." We are a very small, independent development team, and we would not have made it this far without you. We thank you for your continued support. In D&D, the party is everything, and you are the best party to have, by far.

A free Halloween update was published last week. This is to be followed up by another free update next week; "Community Pack 1" which will add a number of additional features including increased monster abilities, bug fixes and over 150 new placeable nature objects for DMs.

Following on will be the "Community pack 2" later on in November and a third pack in December. In addition, the company have engaged with their players on the official forums, collating a document of necessary bug fixes based directly on user input.
