Terraria Cancelled on Stadia: What's Going on Between Re-Logic and Google?

In another blow to Google's struggling streaming platform, it looks as if Terraria will no longer be coming to Stadia after one of its creators has been locked out of their Google account. What's more, Terraria's developer Re-Logic will no longer be supporting any of Google's platforms with its games.

Andrew Spinks, co-creator of Terraria and President of Re-Logic, took to Twitter today, revealing that he had spent the previous three weeks being given "the runaround" by Google's support team. In the series of tweets (shown above and below), he reports losing access to thousands of dollars worth of apps, his Google Drive data, YouTube channel, Gmail account and The Lord of The Rings trilogy in 4K—which, heartbreakingly, he never got to finish.

The reason for Spinks' sub-par treatment by the megacorporation remains unclear. He claims to have "not done anything to violate your [Google's] terms of service". Google has currently made no statement justifying its actions.

This story serves as a reminder of the power companies like Google have over us. Whether you love them or fear them, there's no denying that upsetting the likes of Google is a good way to make your life very difficult indeed.
