The Aerodesk is the Most Insane Desk You'll See
Aerodesk have been attempting to revolutionise the desk for a few years now. Aimed at businesses and professionals, their current desk range feature a light bar to simulate daylight and boost productivity, as well as hydraulic legs to go from a seated to standing position at the press of a button.
Now they've cornered the business world, they've turned their attention to the humble gaming desk. Why should you put up with a basic wooden flat surface to hold your gaming rig when you can place it on a desk which costs five times the price of your PC itself instead?
This is no ordinary desk though, it's got features coming out of its ears, including two Qi charging pads, two USB hubs, a 5500k lightbar, a subwoofer soundbar and two stops to heat or cool a drink for you! It also features the same hydraulic legs as the business desks so you can change to standing positions and help burn a few calories.

“Gamers are notoriously spending long hours at a desk, there is no other option for them, and therefore have to think about their environment more and the potential impact on their health,“ said Hohn Tomalin-Reeves, the designer responsible for Heathrow's T5 First Class lounge.
“The statistics are incredible,” he says. “Standing for three hours a day burns 30,000 extra calories per year, the equivalent of running 10 marathons.
“Add in the ability to create natural light for those in windowless rooms, or coloured lights to improve moods and productivity, and you have the ultimate wireless, stylish gaming desk space.”
Priced at £5,295 excluding VAT, this kind of high-tech furniture doesn't come cheap, but if you want the absolute pinnacle of gaming surfaces, this might just be what you need. Check out more details on Aerodesk's website if you want to see just what this juggernaut can give you.

Priced at £5,295...
That's £809 you could have a very similar setup for, and that's not even searching for best prices. Sure, it's not all built together in one unit, but you're saving £4,486 which could buy a very nice computer (or 4).
For me, this isn't "for gamers" at all, this is "how much can we rip out of gamers pockets".
Absurd.
