The Division Breaks Ubisoft Sales Record

Tom Clancy's The Division, Ubisoft's third-person action RPG, has become the company's best selling new IP, selling more copies in its first 24 hours on sale than any other Ubisoft title.

Although Ubisoft didn't specify exact numbers, they also confirmed that the total digital games sales across all platforms broke the company's previous record.

This is a momentous day for Ubisoft, but more importantly it marks the start of millions of players’ enduring engagement in The Division’s game world, which we are confident they will love.”

The record now means that Ubisoft has three of the four most successful new IP launches in the industry.

Tom Clancy's The Division launched earlier this week on PS4, Xbox One & PC, and if our friends list is anything to go by, everybody seems to be playing it at the moment.
