The Last Guardian Trademark Abandoned

The trademark for Sony's long awaited game The Last Guardian has been abandoned. according to the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The game was originally announced as a PS3 title back in 2009 but was then moved to be a PS4 release. 

The Last Guardian has a long history of speculation regarding whether it will ever be released and this news doesn't bode well for fans of Team Ico. However it is worth noting that Playstation boss Shuhei Yoshida was optimistic about the game last year and was quoted in an interview with Weekly Famitsu saying "development couldn't be better". 

Sony haven't officially confirmed anything yet but here's hoping The Last Guardian is still planned for release.
