The Original Follow-up to Tetris Is Coming to Tetris Forever!

The ubiquitousness of Tetris is difficult to understate, as the title is known by most and has seen many variations, re-releases, spin-offs, and has inspired many to follow the same formula. In recognition of this achievement, and to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original launch, Tetris Forever was release to present the multifaceted history of the title. However, being so absolutely massive in the gaming scene, in addition to being rather old, it can be hard to get a hold of everything related to the title. Thankfully, Retro gaming studio Digital Eclipse has managed to add yet another piece of history to the collection with the original follow-up, Welltris!

Welltris itself was created by Alexey Pajitnov and is a beloved variant in which Tetriminos (and other shapes) fall down four sides of a well, but it is not the only addition being added to Tetris Forever! The surprisingly popular multiplayer game Tetris Time Warp has also received an upgrade, allowing players to remap their controls. Finally, the update adds general fixes and further customisation options, in addition to fixing an audio issue found on Nintendo Switch ports.
