The Powerpuff Girls: Defenders Of Townsville Announcement Trailer

Fans both new and old, of the Cartoon Network show Powerpuff Girls should rejoice - they are coming to Steam!

Created by Radian Games, whose latest title Bombcats came out for Android last year, The Powerpuff Girls: Defenders Of Townsville is being released on Steam on 14th March.

The storyline stars Mojo Jojo as the villain, with the girls engaging in Castlevania/Metroid-style 'collect-power-ups-to-proceed' levels.  It stars the original voice actors and from the sounds of it, sound effects.

It was due to be released in January to coincide with the airing of The Powerpuff Girls: Dance Pantsed, but was delayed by Cartoon Network so they Radian could make some changes.  The most noticeable of which is the option to change from the CGI-style graphics of the new Special to the cell-shaded style of the old cartoons, rather than release it as DLC.
