The Wandering Village Launches on All Platforms with a New Animated Trailer!

Stray Fawn Studio is thrilled to launch Version 1.0 of the Ghibli-inspired citybuilder, The Wandering Village. 

In The Wandering Village, a small group of survivors will seek shelter on the back of the giant Onbu, a giant creature which wanders the hostile world struck by toxic spores. Take on the role of the settlement's new leader, where you'll need to navigate danger, grow your village, and ensure the survival of Onbu and your people. 

Your role will include providing shelter, food and entertainment for those in your settlement. Prepare for changing climates and environmental hazards, and don't forget to plan and optimise your production changes to be ready. While you'll also be foraging for treasures and rare resources, it'll be difficult in this post-apocalyptic world. 

But most importantly, how will you live with Onbu? Will you form a symbiotic relationship, or will you exploit it, taking whatever, whenever you want? It's up to you to decide whether you'll build trust or become a parasite.

Having been in Early Access since 2022, you'll find that there's been some major updates. Now, there's a Story Mode which adds more lore, quests, and an end goal to reach. Explore the Ocean and Ruins biome, a reworked economy, hostility modifiers, and gameplay and content expansions. Plus, there's even controller and Steam Deck support to look forward to, along with many other updates!

There will be a physical collector's edition for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch that has been made in partnership with Serenity Forge, with pre-orders open today from 5PM BST/6PM CEST/9AM PT. This edition will include not only a physical copy of the game, but an illustrated inner coversheet, a washi sticker sheet, a soundtrack download card, an Onbu succulent pot, softbound artbook, cloth poster, wooden villager pin set of 4, a rubber keychain, and four travel postcards.
