The Winter Games 1986 Finally Gets a Videogame
1986 was a great year for gaming. It saw the release of The Legend of Zelda, Bubble Bobble and Out Run. It also marked the release of Sega's Master System and the creation of Bethesda and Ubisoft. One thing that we didn't see in that year was a Winter Olympics game. Mainly because there wasn't a Winter Olympics that year, nor a summer one in fact.
This retro-inspired mobile title aims to recapture the excitement of the sports games found on the home computers of the eighties. Titles like International Track and Field or Daley Thompson's Decathlon. It features six winter sport events: Ski Jump, Biathlon, Bobsled, Speed Skating, Curling, and Slalom. There's also a local multiplayer where you can take it in turns to compete with up to seven of your friends, or just play against the computer.
