UPDATE: GAME Cancelling Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition Pre-Orders
UPDATE:
GAME have admitted to customers that have managed to get in touch, that the error was indeed caused by an error in its systems, and not the banks as originally mentioned in their emails.
They've been told that GAME would be contacting affected customers by phone over the weekend to arrange a new order, though no timescales were given for delivery.
One affected customer told Eurogamer: "GAME inferred that the process would take some time, I asked if they'd call back tonight and the employee said it would be 'sometime over the weekend'."
Original Story:
GAME have sent out a ton of emails claiming that orders of the Pip-Boy Edition of Fallout 4 have been cancelled, following problems obtaining payments.
The image below is the email sent to one of our staff, but there are many taking to Twitter to complain of the same email. Orders made by PayPal as well as card have been affected, with customer services absolutely swamped by people wanting to place their order once more.
They have taken to Twitter, but not to give any explanation for the mass cancellations.
Morning! We're currently experiencing a high volume of contact, thank you for your patience as we work hard to respond to everyone.

Some are remaining on hold for upwards of two hours, only to be told that they cannot re-place the order. There is seemingly no end to the people affected.
Ironically, it appears that some who have been charged have received a confirmation email that states a double payment has been taken.
Whether it is a system error, or they simply took far more pre-orders than they are able to fulfil, this has certainly not aided their credibility. Two months ago multiple payments went out for preorders of Super Mario Maker, and five months ago a truck containing Splatoon amiibo was stolen, causing preorders of Splatoon to be changed.

If they can't fix this, I don't see GAME being a British staple for much longer...

Yeah, Super Mario Maker and now this. It's not a good time to be GAME.
Hope this doesn't have an effect on my instore pre-order! :(

I've been doing some reading, and they apparently cancelled Mass Effect 3 preorders, too.

This is why I have gone back to using amazon. Yes we don't get the exclusive preorder bits and pieces but we do get our games on time!

I struggle to see how GAME survives. Their main customer base is surely just grandparetns buying their grandkids the latest Xstation of Playbox One game by now.

I don't usually do the whole pre-order jobby, but I wanted the Pipboy more than gin, so you know...

They cancelled my Red Dead Redemption Limited Edition for no reason too, like a day before it came out. Luckily managed to get one from Amazon, but still, shouldn't have happened in the first place.

They really need to sort shit like this out. Every big release gets stuff like this. They had the same issue with Fallout Anthology. Credit to them though, they DID sort it for me and I did get the games. I hope they resolve it for everyone this time.
