Vince Zampella of Respawn Entertainment Takes Charge of DICE LA

It can't be understated how much of an impact Vince Zampella has had on modern gaming. He was a leading figure at Infinity Ward, where he had a significant role in making both Medal of Honor and Call of Duty the influential series they were. Modern Warfare was even created under his vision, just try to imagine how differently gaming would have turned out without the influence of that game... 

Following that, he co-founded Respawn Entertainment and lead the company through the releases of Titanfall 1/2, Apex Legends and the recent Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Each subsequent release from the studio either improving on, or offering something vastly new from its prior output.

Now, in addition to staying at Respawn Entertainment under a supervisory position, Zampella is taking a leading role at DICE LA and beginning work on a brand-new game. Crucially, DICE's main headquarters in Stockholm will remain separate and Respawn Entertainment will still continue functioning as normal (its upcoming Oculus Rift exclusive title, Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond is unaffected).

It's possible that DICE LA may receive a re-branding to separate the studio from DICE's other titles —particularly the Battlefield series— although we likely won't hear any news on this front until a game is closer to announcement. Until then, we can only look forward to and imagine what Zampella and co. are cooking up for us.
