Warcraft I And II Scheduled To Be Delisted

Warcraft I And II Scheduled To Be Delisted

In only a few days from now, both Warcraft I and Warcraft II will be delisted from GOG. At the request of the publisher, Blizzard, GOG will cease the sale of both titles and remove it from their store, on the 13th of December 2024.

In an accompanying press release, GOG remind us what they have done for both games, in an effort to preserve their legacies — keeping the games alive with multiplayer elements and supporting graphical improvements, long after both had fallen from the general gaming landscape. In the PR, they also remind interested parties that both games can be purchased up until the 13th without issue and with a discount!

However, it is not all doom and gloom; alongside this announcement, GOG also revealed their new "Preservation Program", where they will aim to continue support for older titles, even if they have been delisted from GOG.

You can check out the press release here.
