Warface Releases for Switch Alongside the Latest 'Titan' Update

Blackwood Games' (formerly Crytek Kiev) free-to-play multiplayer FPS, Warface recently released on Switch alongside the game's latest major update, 'Titan'. The port has been carried out by publisher MY.GAMES' in-house studio: Allods Team. Check out the release trailer above.

Originally released on PC in 2013, the game saw numerous releases over the following years on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and, now, Nintendo Switch. Offering a variety of PvP and PvE modes where players earn XP and currency to purchase equipment, rent weapons and buy other single-use items; Warface provides an experience that should be familiar to many gamers out there. However, It should be noted that the Switch is devoid of many military-themed shooters, and so Warface's release fills a significant gap in the console's library.

Warface utilises several features of the Switch's hardware including gyro-controlled motion aiming, HD rumble and Pro Controller support. The game (and voice chat functionality) will be available to all players, even those without a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. While all PvE missions will available on Switch at launch new PvP modes will be unlocked over the coming weeks, along with other additional content.

The latest Warface update, Titan, adds a fifth playable class to all active versions of the game. Called the 'SED' (Synthetically Engineered Double), the class can take unrivalled amounts of damage at the cost of low mobility. As well as this, the robot also comes equipped with a heavy machine gun that doesn't need reloading, but can only be fired from the hip—perfect for suppressing fire.

Warface and the Titan update are out now for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch.
