Warframe Developer Reveals ‘Citrine’s Last Wish’ Update

Digital Extremes is kicking off the new year by unveiling a new update to the online sci-fi action game, Warframe. Star Days were also revealed through a showcase of new and returning items from Ticker in Fortuna. New updates are also coming to Warframe’s Cross-Platform Play, Cross-Platform Save, and the Warframe mobile game. These new updates were revealed in a devstream on the 30th of January, attended by thousands of players.

Citrine’s Last Wish will launch in February 2023, bringing the game’s 52nd Warframe to players. Travel to Mars and take on Mirror Defense Missions to bring together fated lovers to earn Citrine’s blueprints and components for crafting or instantly unlock her devastating embrace from the in-game Market. Citrine will feature a healthy arsenal of signature Weapons, Accessories, and Abilities when she launches, including Corufell, a new Scythe that can deliver a charged blast to enemies at range, Citrine’s Kalite Helmet and Sugatra, as well as a new devastating Steflos. This short-ranged Primary weapon becomes more powerful with each enemy hit.

In other news, Star Days are returning as the popular annual Valentine’s Theme event kicks off Wednesday, 1st of February at 4:00pm GMT in Fortuna. Players can find Ticker’s Affections in Fortuna, stocked up with new and returning items and rewards. New glyphs will also be available, along with returning items such as the Eros Wings Ephemera, Ticker Floof, and much more!

Plus, this coming March will mark ten years of Waframe, so other news and programs will be announced as the milestone approaches. This a year of celebration as Digital Extremes continues to be on track in developing the Cross Platform Save and porting Warframe to mobile devices. The team is doing additional development work on trading, account linking, and other technical challenges related to the new feature.

Warframe is currently available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
