Warframe: Plains of Eidolon Releases Next Week

The upcoming update to developer Digital Extremes' fast-paced Warframe is set to release next week.

The update, dubbed Plains of Eidolon, will bring with it plenty of new features and content that it will make it feel like a whole new game for players. The main thing to take note of is that the update will include the first open world area designed to offer new daytime and nighttime challenges like players have never seen or experienced in the game before.

The area will feature 100 minutes of beautiful sunshine before 50 minutes of horrible, haunted night. During these times players can pick up a number of missions and quests from the locals or just roam around engaging in combat as they choose. Should you choose to stay out at night though you can become a Eidolon hunter and fight the towering Spectral Sentients known as they walk on the land in search of what they have lost. You will need to team up to take down this foes though so don't enter a battle alone.

The Warframe: Plains of Eidolon update will also bring with it plenty of new content and changes to the game as well including:

A new Warframe, Gara, who manipulates glass
New weapons
New Reinforcements
Focus 2.0: Experience the reintroduction of the Operator-Warrior Focus Rework 2.0. This new system changes the Skill Tree to be more combat-focused, enabling you to equip your Operator with distinct Weapons and Armor found deep in the Caves of the Plains
New Mods and Stances
Search for ‘Glass Fish’ Memory Fragments to unlock Ostrons Folklore.
11 new Plains of Eidolon themed Achievement
New ship decorations
Weapon fall-off damage has been added to reduce the effectiveness at extremely long distances. This is only noticeable at extreme ranges over 300m.
The ‘Gear Wheel’ item capacity will be increased to 12 items.

Warframe: Plains of Eidolon update is set to release next week on PC with a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release to follow in November. The game is available now as a free-to-play title.
