Warframe Teams Up With The Movember Foundation

Digital Extremes, creator of the AAA free-to-play action game, Warframe, have once again joined up with the Movember Foundation, which helps raise awareness and funds for a plethora of men's health issues.

Since its inception, the Movember Foundation has raised over $650 million, to help men suffering from prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health issues, and physical inactivity.

During Movember last year, Warframe players helped to set the Guinness World Record for the "Largest Gathering of People Wearing False Moustaches in a Videogame", with over 10,000 players simultaneously sporting their favourite lip wigs. They also managed to raise thousands of dollars throughout the month.

"Acts of honor are fundamental traits of the Tenno in Warframe and we are honored to contribute to such a meaningful, worthy cause," said Meridith Braun, VP of Publishing at Digital Extremes. "With all the activities we have planned throughout the month, I know our Tenno will rise to the occasion with donations to help fund Movember's programs to improve men's health worldwide."

Log in to Warframe today and you'll receive the first free moustache, the Dastard. It's the classic evil villain 'stache, to twiddle between your fingers as you mull over your shady plans. The remaining four moustaches will be unlocked as fundraising goals are met.

With that said, head over to the Warframe Movember website to donate to the worthy cause. And not just for the moustaches.
