The latest expansion for Guild Wars 2 is available now, which will take players to the magical island of Castora — a shelter for castaways, experimental sorcery, and adventurers alike!

Players can look forward to tons of new content across various areas, with even more coming in the future through updates and at no additional cost.

Here's everything new in Guild Wars 2's latest expansion, Vision of Eternity:

• Two new maps to explore, the Shipwreck Strand and Starlit Weald.
• Two other maps,which will arrive in future updates.
• New feature: Elite Specializations, which provide even further gameplay customisation.
• The new Skimmer has been improved, allowing for better exploration of the sea.
• New Raid Encounters, which will be available in future updates.
• A new Homestead plot, on an island shipwreck!
• Players will have full control over the structure and furniture of their new home.
• Homestead Layouts will be shareable between players (so long as they also own the necessary plot).
• New Legendary Gear, with more coming up in future updates.
• New armour and weapon sets.

The team is thrilled to launch Visions of Eternity. This is the first time Guild Wars 2 is going to a location in Tyria that’s truly brand new to all players. The island vibe of the setting gives us a lot of room to explore improvements and evolutions to the skimmer and homesteads that are also thematically appropriate to the setting, and we can’t wait to see how players tackle our new world and raid bosses.
