What's New in Rocket League Season 2?

The second season of content for Psyonix's Rocket League is all set to launch on the 9th December. Partnered with EDM producer Kaskade, the season seems to be taking on a distinct dance music theme (as shown in the trailer above). Of course, there's more to this season than a new style: player's will have some meaty new features to sink their teeth into too!

What's New in Rocket League Season 2?

  • New Rocket Pass - 70+ tiers of unique items and cosmetics to unlock for owners of Rocket Pass Premium (fewer for non-premium members), including music-themed items which pulse and flash in time with the in-game music.
  • Return of Rocket Labs - The game mode is set to return as a Casual Limited Time Mode Playlist throughout the season.
  • New Arena - Neon Fields, an EDM-inspired arena available to play in Online Playlists and Private Matches.
  • New Music From Kaskade - In partnership with music label Monstercat and artist Kaskade, an entire EP of tracks have been produced for Rocket League Season 2, set for release throughout the season (get a taste of the first track, Flip Reset, in the trailer above.
  • Player Anthems - Players will be able to set in-game music to play in the arena after scoring a goal.
  • Various Improvements - Quality of life improvements, changes to the Esports shop, more challenges and all-new competitive rewards.

Season 2 is shaping up to be an exciting new era in Rocket League's life. The game is discovering EDM, learning to gloat with style thanks to those player anthems and branching out with a slew of new player rewards.

Rocket League Season 2 launches on all platforms on the 9th December.
