When Does Resident Evil Requiem (Resident Evil 9) Release?
CAPCOM's Resident Evil franchise has been on a roll — whether it's the remakes or the mainline series, their titles never cease to amaze fans of the franchise. While it's been two years since players embarked on the journey as Leon S. Kennedy through Resident Evil 4, we're now staring at the launch of the upcoming sequel.
The company has had a fair few successes over the years, though a lot of them have also been met with controversy or issues plaguing them. The last two years have been turbulent ones for CAPCOM, and though they haven't been unsuccessful ones (it's difficult to say Dragons Dogma 2 and Monster Hunter Wilds haven't received a lot of limelight), it's safe to say that they've had a bit of a rocky history afterwards.
CAPCOM is looking to continue its streak of successful releases (ignoring the PC port performances, that is) with Resident Evil Requiem, the ninth entry into the franchise that starts a "new survival horror era". Taking on the role of a brand-new protagonist, Grace Ashcroft, it's unclear whether this means that it's the start of a new saga (leaving behind Ethan Winters).
Resident Evil Requiem is set to launch on the 27th of February 2026 in preparation for the 30th anniversary of the company! You'll be able to pick it up on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
