When Does Zaahen Release in League of Legends?

Everyone's new favourite bird ascended (sorry, Azir — maybe when you take lore centre stage), Zaahen, has officially been revealed as the next and final champion arriving in League of Legends in 2025. While his model has seen some backlash already, as many were looking forward to more monster-like characters and a new ascended, it's undeniable that the latest cinematic, Twilight's End, is going to get some people to pledge their allegiance early.

Zaahen's reveal is also a good day for old Aatrox mains (we see you). His kit, reminiscent of old Aatrox before the rework, is an enhanced version that might be able to keep the champion popular enough to prevent any further reworks, even if some changes have been made to the overall feel of the champion.

Whether you're an ex-Aatrox main or a Zaahen simp who can't wait to try him out in the Summoner's Rift, you'll be able ot pick him up in the second-to-last patch of the year. Patch 25.23 kicks off on the 19th of November 2025.
