Xbox August 2019 Games with Gold Have Been Revealed

The August Games with Gold have been revealed, and as per usual the service is offering two free Xbox One games and two free Xbox 360 games.

• Gears of War 4 (Xbox One) 1st August - 31st August
• Forza Motorsport 6 (Xbox One) 16th August - 15th September
• Torchlight (Xbox 360) 1st August - 15th August
• Castlevania: Lord of Shadow (Xbox 360) 16th August - 31st August

This month is offering two of Microsoft’s own first-party titles with Gears of War 4 and Forza Motorsport 4. With Gears 5 releasing in September, this is a good way to let players who missed out on the fourth instalment catch up.

Torchlight originally came to Xbox via the Xbox Live Arcade in 2011, and is a top-down action RPG from now defunct Seattle based studio Runic Games. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow was a less conventional take on the classic franchise released in 2010, swapping out the 2D platforming and exploration for hack ‘n’ slash gameplay in a similar vein to the early God of War titles.

July Games with Gold title Big Crown: Showdown is still available for download until 15th August.
